Journey: you should try this shot with a spot meter on the main subject (and fading the background more) and/or with a FLASH, because it'll fade the background and the image will be very nice. (also try looking at it in B&W or Sepia by selecting the Red or Green channel).

you certainly found some green. color seems a little muted, maybe a boost in the saturation and/or better lighting would have helped. |

I'd've skaken some of the bits off the leaves first, perhaps placing a couple of ithem in interesting positions. |

The picture is a little too dark to the left. The insects/ seeds disturb a little. You choose the right border color it improves the image a lot. |
