this really gives the 30s fell well seen the diagonals and the colour of the buildings work well together .9 |

Why slanted? IMHO it takes away from a tremendous shot. The black and white texture is neat. BOL |

Great shot. Cool how the eagleheads of the Chrysler building are in some way repeated in the lantern in front. The diagonal angle makes the shot dynamic. Also like the brickwork. |

FInally! Someone who followed directions, used the year for the title and submitted a GOOD photo. You deserve a 10! |

7 - Met the Challenge (I think a photo of this put into a 'time capsule' would give future generations a good depiction of this era/year, especially in an economic sense). It is a little 'stretch' in my opinion on the Challenge, but as I say you captured a certain essence of this particular era and well. Very nice photo too. Criticism; not much, perhaps more distinction on the lamp post if possible. I really like the angle and the b/w? works well here, keeping it a nice clean shot. Maybe even sharper of an angle to get in more of the post and fore building, and enable you to crop out that 'level' that has the line across it on the fore building. Possibly without the frame to give more 'height' - not sure. |

The street light wasn't there, it would be much better IMO. |

Why the tilt...it really takes away from the "1930" feel. |

I hate to say it, but I think this one would have been better going straight up and down. There are good elements in the composition, but I felt like I was straining my neck. |

Very nice photo. I love the angle and the fact that it has a few pure black and pure white in it. |
