** Greetings from the Critique Club **
Technical: Foreground is very distracting, almost to the point of obscuring the main subjects in the image. The lighting seems to be coming from the left primarily, leaving the two individuals along the right hardly noticeable. Seems a bright spot is on the guy in camo.
Composition: Foreground needed to be cleared before the shot. Subjects not balanced well within the photo.
Meeting Challenge: I do not see how this meets the challenge at all. I simply do not see any illusion here, unless the large tree is not actually one tree but either more than one tree lit to look as one, or a backdrop. I just don't see it. Sorry.

This was great...it guess it went over too many heads...sadly I'm not surprised though...a truly wonderful conceptual piece. |

I absolutely adore this shot and left it tell the last to comment on! I love this as a family portrait because it is so untraditional. I love the overall tonality of the shot. I love the kid being in a totally different type of adornment that seems to not fit the scene but seems to fit his peronality! I don't however think it fits the challenge as dictated! Please don't take this as a down fall. Just my take on the challenge. Keep up the great work.

What? I don't get how this fits the challenge...Am i missing something? |

I am missing the illusion. Looking at the photo, I find the foreground leaves distracting, the lighting to be fighting against the photo as a whole and the compostion to be bland. I do, however, find each figure in the image to be interest and enjoyable to look at. I would have found it much stronger to crop for the individual elements. 3 |

Interesting portrait, but I am a little confused on the illusion link.
The greenary at the front is a little distracting, as its mottled lighting catches the eys pulling focus away from the family members

I looked long and hard at this image, but unfortunately, I am having a hard time seeing how it is relevant to this challenge. Sorry. |

What is the illusion here? I keep looking at it but can't seem to figure this one out. |

I'm sorry, but I just don't get the illusion here. It's a nice shot of family and the Superman costume certainly adds an interesting aspect, but I don't see how it fits the challenge. |

Interesting point of view of a family portrait. I'm getting a kick out of Superman in thongs. |
