very impressive for a point and shoot cam to capture the motion and not overexpose or blur

Cool

If anyone is interested... taking photos of water drops is easier than I thought it would be. If you have a camera that you can adjust the setting manually, set it at F10 and 1/800 (the smallest "opening" and the shortest exposure time). Then, use a slow flash and experiment with water out of a faucet until you get the photo you like. I have found that faucets with multiple streams work the best (like a shower head and the spray nozzle on the sink). Feel free to check the "drops" part of my website (homepage.mac.com/lianabond) and email me if you have other questions.

great shot, nice and crisp. the contrast works great for black and white. im wondering if a vertical shot would've worked better
06/09/2002 09:34:00 PM
a vertical frame could have been stronger ? Good stop motion, but the left hand side is too dark and 'empty'
06/09/2002 02:16:00 PM
I love this! I like how you can see the individual drops falling.
06/08/2002 07:10:00 PM
Pretty...
06/08/2002 11:50:00 AM
the was you caught the drops with this image is beautiful
06/08/2002 03:21:00 AM
Great Shot - Nice Composition - Good Mid-Tones and Contrast
06/07/2002 08:00:00 PM
nice effect with the water.
06/07/2002 05:45:00 PM
Beautiful detail - the drops look like diamonds.
06/06/2002 04:08:00 PM
Beautiful water droplets. I'm not sure that I like this photo quite enough to give it 10, but it comes very close :)
06/05/2002 07:33:00 PM
Nice!!
06/05/2002 01:01:00 PM
lighting on the droplets and the stopped motion is unreal. i love this. im wondering what the bg is. excellent shot.
06/05/2002 12:55:00 PM
The shadow to light change really makes the water stand out. Very nicely done picture.
06/05/2002 11:46:00 AM
Simple, effective. A 7 from me.
06/05/2002 11:22:00 AM
The black space at L isn't doing much for me, and the gravity-defiant angle bugs me slightly. Those small issues aside, very fine.
06/05/2002 10:27:00 AM
The lighting was really good on this, and the stop motion too.
06/05/2002 08:22:00 AM
Fab shot, I'd love to know the camera settings etc for this picture.
06/05/2002 04:41:00 AM
Very nice. Crisp and clean.
06/04/2002 10:54:00 PM
Nice sparkle but not focused.
06/04/2002 06:36:00 PM
I love the uniqueness of this one. Boy, those water droplets sure sparkle! Very nice!
06/04/2002 03:05:00 PM
This looks great. The water looks like crystal. The angle of the water, for me, either needs to be more extreme, or more perfectly vertical.
06/03/2002 11:45:00 PM
great stopped motion photo. this image is well suited for black and white.
06/03/2002 11:24:00 PM
Imaginative. works well with b&w.
06/03/2002 07:45:00 PM
Neat pic, but left half is too dark, still better than most.
06/03/2002 07:40:00 PM
I wonder how this would look with a solid background?
06/03/2002 05:28:00 PM
Cool
06/03/2002 04:38:00 PM
This is great.
06/03/2002 04:08:00 PM
This is an excellent shot... it would have done well in the stopped motion challenge as well :) good work!
06/03/2002 03:31:00 PM
Neat image. Good, good capture here. Well done.
06/03/2002 01:44:00 PM
nice
06/03/2002 12:59:00 PM
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! The way the light hits the water is great. I also love the way it starts out as a more steady stream and then breaks down into drops at the bottom of the picture. Top 3!
06/03/2002 12:44:00 PM
good exposure
06/03/2002 12:18:00 PM
This would have worked well for stop motion as also. Excellent tonal range and contrast. Busy little water droplets, what was your setup?
06/03/2002 09:56:00 AM
Great action........
06/03/2002 08:28:00 AM
I love water drops in a b/w photo. Well done. The sparkle just adds to it !!!
06/03/2002 08:05:00 AM
Wish I had the equipment and experience to do this.
