 Thanks for all the great comments guys. I was actually hoping that this would do at least Top 5, but I guess I will have to wait.

For those that wondered this is actually a candid and not a stage shoot. I was walking around a Colonial re-enactment and just happened to see this little kid playing in the water. Luckily I had my camera ready and got off a few shots.

4 - (up from 3), This photo in a time capsule to depict the era for future generations would do well, but in my opinion, just the year was needed (and asked for). I think you have done well with the 'outfit', the pose is great and carefree, the water looks good, I like the frame, etc Maybe, sepia, but I like the colors too. Could be Huck Finn. Good feel, but for me, just the title - just my opinion and interpretation of the Challenge. 7 maybe 8 with the 'year only'.

As beautiful as this photo is, I think it might have worked better as a black and white, with a little bit of grain in it, for this contest. Still, I love it! Great job!

Nice Hat. Composition is strong - especially the use of negative space. I like the choice to go with color even thought the temptation would be sepia. Curious about the reason for not using a blur layer to make the highlights glow a little (or is this just and overused cliche?)

Very nice!! The light reflection on the water is a little distracting but the boy being in time period costume does it for me. Would like to have seen some of his face though.
