Cowboy hat would be better than the cap for 1872; also the t-shirt doesn't work somehow...it has a modern look. good lighting and composition

This shot would have been better if it was a profile. The rider and horse are too dark. I don't get 1872 from this. Sorry

I think your time era statement would have been stronger with some more costuming of the rider ... maybe a cowboy hat, long coat, holster and gun, etc.

i feel the t shirt doesnt fit here, and the sky looks over saturated or something. a more nature color gradient in the sky and a full silhouette would do this idea justice.
