Thanks for all the comments. It is always interesting about the b/w vs. color issue as you can see by the comments. For those interested I converted to b/w so that the flower would not be as prominent. I wanted the rain to be evident since that was the subject and thought the brightness of the flower was distracting. And yes, this is a fake. I rant he sprinkler which created the slanted rain. Wind would have made it more difficult to get a sharp image. |

This is beautiful. I love black and white shots, it adds such emotion to pictures i think. |

Nice capture of raindrops, also I like the position of flowers in this image; b&w is also good in this case. |

I think that this would have been much more impressive in color. B&W tends to emphasize the textures, and there aren't many present in this image. |

Neat shot. Not sure B/W does it justice, but great focus & DOF. |

The contrast here is a a bit blown. I think you could have burned the flower a bit so that it doesn't get lost in the image. The rain capture is fantastic. 6 |

very beautiful and a great example of actual FALLING rain (something a lot of other pictures seem to be lacking) |

Nice photo, the only thing is the angle of the "rain." If the wind was blowing that hard to make the rain come from this angle seems the flower would have been bending over in the wind a lot more. |

Another wet flower shot... but hold on, this is one with a difference! I love the action, and the angle of the water drops is perfect. Real rain or not doesn't matter. I might have been inclined to use colour, but this shot is great either way. Using B&W probably has the effect of subduing the flowers and adding importance to the 'rain', anyway. Great job! |

Excellent, the action of the rain and the B&W both help to enhance the photo quality here. |

Nice movement. I like your choice of black and white. Maybe up the brightness of the flowers for more contrast. |

Nice capture with falling rain drop. Very dramatic. I am not a fan of b&w, but it works here. 7 |

Nice tones, and I love the way you've captured the rain in the air as little streaks. This is a weird angle that doesn't flatter the flowers, but a nice photo. |
