Though you can tell it wasn't an out door shot I was still so impressed with it I didn't really mind. Everything here seems to be very pleasing. DOF was nicely done and doesn't pick up anything distracting in the rear. Focus is fantastic VERY detailed. The colors are smooth and soft. The lighting is perfect and thats what gives away the indoor shot. I was very impressed with the artisitic approach you show here. Although it might fall short of the challenge I am still impressed with the shot. Very nice work. Two (green) thumbs up. |

Hahaha! I caught your fake rain. I wasn't giving out DNMC's for fake rain, though, that would be to tough. Great studio shot, I gave it a 6. |

I'm sorry to say, but this looks like it was taken indoors. The off color lighting and the solid backgroun make it look like it was a studio shot. Like the water drops though |

Another wet flower shot. Fantastic focus, and the lighting is so nice that it makes me think this rain-shot was in a studio. Great job capturing the softness of the petals. |

Something about this shot doesn't seem quite right to me. It's got great color and I like the composition. Good focus & DOF too - so I'm not quite sure what it is... (Sorry I can't be more specific. Maybe it's the odd color glow in the background?) Still, a pleasing and good image.
EDIT: Ya know - I think I figured out what bothers me about this shot. It's that the background color too closely resembles the beautiful colors on the petals. It's a lovely shade of pinks & whites, but the fact that the background is saturated with essentially the same tones, it makes the whole color less dramatic. (If that makes sense...) If the background were darker, it would really allow the colors of the petals to shine on their own - so to speak. Make sense? |
