The thundershower was very short and I really hadn't thought anything up for this challenge, but just as the rain was petering out my wife suggested that our soaking wet patio umbrella could make a good subject. Still without a firm idea, I dashed out and snapped a few of the whole umbrella. Then I spotted the steady drip and zoomed in. Catching a drop in mid-air only took a few tries, the sun comming out at the same time was pure luck!

A very underrated shot! I thought this was definitely one of the better shots.

The corner of the umbrella seems to be in sharper focus than the drop; reversing this would result in a stronger image. Rendering this in B&W and cropping to include less of the umbrella would have garnered a higher vote from me.

Cute, in a way. You could try dodging, carefully, around the droplet to bring it out a bit more.

all the colors really work well here, and i just love the textures on the umbrella. good job catching that water droplet at the exact right time, too.
lighting is also very nice here, good luck!

GOOD idea.
It's a pity the drop wasn't more in focus though.
