As I commented during the challenge, I think this should have won or at least scored higher. It's pure, natural beauty and now, knowing that this was just two days before the baby was born, it's all the better.

| This is a nice, moving image. The only two things I have to say about it are 1. I hate the border, and 2. I wish the expression on "mom's" face was a little less glazed off in space. That's all! Nice job. |

GREAT shot! Love this. The composition, lighting, shadows & resulting "separation of limbs", skin tones, her eye and hair, the cuves, the hair on his arm - truly fantastic and such an atypical nude, even for a pregnant woman type of shot.
The only thing I don't care for too much is the border. I think it's a bit distracting. Then again, I guess that really is a matter of taste.
I give you my first 10!

| I don't normally comment on borders, but this one, imo, doesn't fit the picture. No points deducted because that is a personal opinion. The model looks familiar. Very much so. The lighting and mood created is excellent. Colors are spot on! gl |

| This is beautiful and I have nothing but praise for the lighting and composition. The only flaw I see is the one strand of hair over her left eye that is light up. It is a tad bit distracting, perhaps and tad bit of burning would help. Was my top pick on intial go around and am bumping you up to a 10. |

| Not too fond of the border. Nice pose. Might have been nice if the woman were cuddling in to him more and seemed to be enjoying the embrace... maybe with her head resting against his chin and her eyes closed? |

| Usually the personal portraits don't appeal to me - they are often too focused on the emotive and personal meanings with too little attention paid to composition, light and aesthetic appeal. This one is different - the lighting is really excellent, so too is the composition and it's at the same time a very intimate and personal portrait and a universal image. |

This is a really beautiful image.
Lighting is great.
The left hand of the woman looks like it is in a fist. Perhaps if this was a little higher flat on the belly would look better. |

| From the looks of things, it appears that one could be three before the vote finishes on this challenge. I really like this, the pose is very intimate but modest and conveys the trust and bond between the husband and wife. The lighting is very good, the expressions are good. I would have liked to have seen the mother's hand unfolded and resting on the husband's arm just to give her a physical connection to him but I am nit-picking and giving this a 10 anyway |

| Perfect llighting on his face , hers and her belly. I wonder if you meant him to be in the shadow more than her, because it looks exactly right that way. I would guess you are a pro and have done many portraits by the precision of the lighting here. Easy 10 |

| Great shot, good lighting! Loose the border treatment. Would be stronger (IMHO) if the mother-to-be were looking down at her belly, or looking up at the guy. |

| Interesting composition. Very private and shows some strange struggle. Lighting is perharps a little too strong, i does help in the portraiture. I'm really not sure about the frame tho. Is it legal? I don't realy like it, as it takes away from the models emotions. Perharps a skin coloured frame would've helped? 7 |

| This is a fabulous pose. Very tastefully done, and it's ALMOST good enough to keep framed in a descreet section of the house. I'm sure that she wouldn't be thrilled about it though. I expect this to ribbon, if not, it's at least worthy (in my book) |

| This is a nice family protrait. Only nit to pick is her facial expression. She looks bored and possibly put out. Would have made the pic more appealing if she were either smiling (just a little) or perhaps looking down toward her belly. The concept for this is fabulous, and the lighting fits very well. |

| This would be my number one, if the border didn't look messed up. I love the feeling of this photo. I don't care for the way her arm is positioned. It is the only part of the photo that looks posed. I think this would have done alot better with a diferent border or none at all. I am giving you a 9. Good luck. |

| I really like the dramatic lighting on this shot. The border is interesting in itself too. The glistening hair in the arm of the man is a little distracting to me, but not a huge deal. |
