The challenge details said "be creative doing it!"...so I tried.

If I can find a better interpretation of "home" you will not be reading this, so I don't know why I'm typing it....

Hi Yoshio, thanks for entering your photo for Home Sweet Home.
Firstly I will address the relevance issue. I don't see the relevance to the challenge and I think, based on your comment under the photrographer's comments, you probably agree. Yes, it is a creative view of the topic, but I think it is quite a stretch actually.

Having got relevance out of the way, I think this is quite a good shot. I feel that perhaps it would have been better to have had better focus on the closer mushroom. Being the bigger of the two mushies it would have served as a better focal point.

The shot itself has a nice flow to it and I like the shallow depth of field in terms of how the background makes the mushroom stand out. Perhaps a deeper depth of field would have allowed you to get all the mushrooms in focus, I doubt that at this distance you would have had to worry about losing the loss of focus in the background.

There is a nice symmetry with the log and the out of focus stick in the background. Overall it is a well composed image with just a couple of niggling little technical faults which would have made it a much stronger image.

Thanks again for sharing this image with us and keep shooting.

Well done,
Todd.

Hard to get it all in focus (the shrooms that is)

I don't see how this fits......but

Exposure is good, composition could use a bit more room on the bottom. Lighting is flat.

beautiful shot, don't really see even the vaguest of connections to the challenge. Its great, even if t was your front yard or something, we can't tell that, and so I'm sure you'll probably be dinged for it. Good colour and lighting and focus though. Nice macro, keep up the good work!

Nice, but IMO it does not meet the challenge = 1

Nice compostion, a bit dark on my monitor (maybe dark by design). Skirts the challenge a bit.

Fungi are one of my favorite subjects, every since I took botany in junior college about a hundred years ago, so I've really gravitated to your mushroom apartment.
Well done.

Doesn't stick with topic too well.

Nice shot but I am going to score it low because it does not quite fit the challenge category...

I'm going to have to grade this down a bit for not being about YOUR home, IMHO. This is of course just my own (perhaps over-narrow) interpretation of the challenge, but I have to draw lines somewhere to make judging easier, and I feel people who tried to shoot their own home deserve a better chance at high scores.
