Really dramatic! I love the colors...though I know this is a sunset, the image really does have a great abstractness about it. |

Great, looks like the building is on fire. |

Why the border to an otherwise great picture. |

This is the most dramatic of the 15 images captioned "Dark & Light" that I've seen so far in this challenge. The horizon doesn't appear to be level; the silhouette of the buildings doesn't provide me with much perspective information, so the unbalanced profile is primarily responsible for this feeling. The clouds and architectural profile complement one another. My only suggestion would be to dodge & burn the cloud at 1 o'clock a bit to bring it back from being a patch of flat grey. |

Very pretty sky. I know it's the landscape itself, but it feels a bit tilted. |

Great shot! The clouds seem a bit overdone. |

I think if this was cropped tighter at the bottom it would be more dramatic. Nice coloring in the sky. |

IMHO this would be a great pic if bottom and right were cropped out about 1/5 each. |

fits the challenge perfectly, and great colors in the sky. it would have been nice to see some more detail in the building. if you're using PS, try hitting ctrl-alt-~, which selects the highlights, inverting the selection to the shadows, making a new layer from that inverted selection, and changing the blending mode to "screen." adjust from there. doesn't need to be a whole lot lighter, just enough to see the major architectural elements. |

My only real criticism is that the skyline is crooked. You could straighten it and it might make for amore visually appealing shot. But I must say, the sky is outstanding with it's vibrant red oranges and blues. I would have left a bit less negative space at the bottom so that that glorious sky has even more POW factor. Hope you find this helpful. |
