** Greetings from the Critique Club **
As many of your comments stated already - I have to agree that there simply is not enough in focus here. There is not any particular thing that grabs my eye and holds it. Instead I am distracted by the blurred areas making my eye draw away and jump place to place, searching for a point of focus.

I think a little more depth of field would have shown the innner branches off more. Different perspective and a good idea. |

interseting branch
good perspective
but most of it is out of foucus and a small thang in the center is a little focused |

Very clever idea, but I think it would've looked nicer if the branches in the branch were more in focus. Nice job though. |

Would have worked a lot better if you either cropped the foreground that's out of focus, or else hold the focus on the foreground 'branches' in the bark and move the camera back up to it's current position before releasing the shutter. Nice idea though. |

Took me a moment to get this. |

The DoF is too shallow to get your point across. Good idea though and fits the challenge. |

The shallow depth of field does focus me on the lines but overall, this image doesn't do much for me. |

more of a trunk than a branch |

Focus is off. Or did you mean for the middle of the trunk to be the sharpest? |

Nice placement and lighting. I might have been a little better if the blackground was more focused instead of the foreground. |

There is only one section that is in focus, and I don't think it works. |

I like the angle you chose and the composition. For me, I wish there was a slightly larger focus area, but that's just me. Nice shot. |

i really wish that this could have been more in focus. such a small portion of the tree is. The branch closest to the camera is really in the face of the person looking at the photo. |

sorry not sure where the focal point is. In my opinion for a photo like this to work, it needs a focal point, this one is all blurred |

good thought, just kinda gets lost in there, neither close up or length of branch stand out enough |
