Greetings from Hickory, North Carolina :) I was on my way to the library this afternoon to photograph some books in still life mode. I arrived at the library about 90 minutes before they opened on Sunday, so I decided to shoot a few photos of the statue outside. This statue is called "The Story". It depicts a mother and son, with the son in the mother's lap, reading a book. The item that struck me most about 'seeing' this statue is that someone has placed a few dandilions in the crease of the book. In color, these yellow dandilions really stand out and create an interesting 'splash' in the scene.

not usually a big fan of photographing statues, but with the duotone effect this looks really neat. Good luck, Todd.

This is very interesting-looking. Is it a statue? It actually has a cemetery-marker feel to it, particularly with the tone chosen. The shot is nice, good choice of angle, very lonely-seeming, very emotional.

Very poignant.
