While exploring the Wawanosh Wetlands, a nature conservation area in my home town of Sarnia, Ontario, I spotted this lovely monarch butterfly resting, perched on a branch, appropriately enough. My only regret is that the top leaves on the branch were cut off slightly.
For this entry, I cropped, resized, then applied automatic colour balance, contrast and saturation, and finally unsharp mask.

| Great color and composition. The background really adds to this, except for the tap of sky on the top left--it seems to distract, so I'd probably crop the sky out--just my opinion. |
