i think here the contrast could've been alittle better to bring out the detail but nice shot

The perfect time to click, unfortunately all the leaves in the foreground are stealing the eye away from the subject(bird) Perhaps zoom in tighter on the bird? imho

good stop action. Would have liked a little more environment to give me a sense of place - right now I can't tell if he's 2 feet or 20 feet off the ground. DOF good, focus great, colors good for image.

Amazing shot. I think it would fit better with the compotition if the branch was the main focus, though.

That is one heck of a shot! The back lighting on the wings is incredible and the whole things is so sharp. The Branch thing is a little tenuous, but then its hard to be different and still meet the challenge. It's still worth 7+

I really like this picture but I don't think branch when I see it. For a bird or nature challenge I would give it a 10.

Very nice photo. The lines of the bird seem mimicked in the bush/tree that it's perched upon. I like the soft background as well. 8

To me, the main subject of this photo is the bird (heron?), not the branch.

If only the trees in the background weren't there this shot would be so much better. It's still amazing as it is, and I love the pose you captured.
