Greetings from the Critique Club
What a good looking little boy. YOu captured a moment when he was tired and ready for a good rest and it's a moment he will undoubtedly treasure as a grown-up.
For a portrait, this pose is a bit informal, and the background a bit overpowering. But you like it, and that's what counts. For a better image, I would suggest bracketing your shots to get better exposure. Although from your EXIF data, it looks as if you didn't have much light and did what you could with what you had.
I expect you will have plenty of opportunities to re-pose this cute kid and get more practice shooting portraits.
And I'll look forward to seeing more of your work on DPC. |

| Not enough light to bring out the obvious striking features on this child. I'm OK with the pose, but to get from snapshot to portrait, it needs a little more exposure on the face to bring out his features. |

| this little guy looks like he's had a full day. I know it might be my monitor but this image appears really dark and since he's laying down it makes me want to tilt my head to view his face better. |

| Poor little guy looks exhausted. I wonder what this would look like if cropped a bit more at the top of bottom so the main subject wasn't in the absolute center of the photo? |

| Looks like he is beyond tired. The picture needs a little lift in color and maybe a different angle, but sometimes it's not about the technique (I have a feeling this is one of those shots) Nice job. |
