 This originally started off in landscape orientation which I liked more and which will I will use for our home, but thought it might be suffer since it wasn't in portrait. Sad, I know.... such is life.


Bounced flash off of wall to the right
Cropped to portrait form, levels adjustment
dodge, burn and sharpen his eyes
USM layer, layer mask to undo some of the sharpness of his skin.
Dodge and burn layer and a selective color layer to adjust skin tones slightly. Border added.

Took your email as an opportunity to see what's new in your portfolio--and this excellent shot jumped to my eyes. Nicely done--good pose and excellent lighting and sharpness. I'd like to see the landscape version you like as well.

This portrait may have been more effective if not cropped so tightly, but the lighting and expression are very good. He's a cuty.

Awww, what a cute closeup. I'm not crazy about the stark white border. Perhaps a green chosen from his eyes wouldn't have been as distracting for me, but overall...good job. I like it.

This is a beautiful picture. I would have tried a little cooler lighting or coloring in post-process. Just a preference though. Very good image.

wow, great crop! I love the connection the viewer makes witht he pose. It's the proportion of the boys eyes to the frame. I don't know if that was done on purpose. I like this shot a lot, on the tech side though the highlights are almost blown out but not thats a big plus! the shadow on the left is a little to big but that can be a personal preference. great shot overall 9
