Greetings from the Critique Club!
Having read your comments and those of the voters, I think all points have been made here. You know where the images weak points are. I would only add that I wish his eyes were open. I also saw the original image in your portfolio and like the contrast in it better than this one, but would prefer it in B/W.
Your images are lovely, I look forward to seeing more.

Maybe a knotch or two too light. I see what you were going for, but I think you went a little too far with it. |

Yup ΓΆ€“ this was intentional. Figured there would be plenty of nice sharp very colorful images in this challenge so decided to try something different. Took a perfectly good colorful candid image but failed to get the sweet angelic effect I was going for right (my lowest score ever). Sure learned quite a bit from your comments though. Thanks to all. |

I like the soft treatment of this photo but the eyes closed or looking down make the boy look like he's sleeping or nodding out. |

Not crazy about the hazy soft lighting, but a cute subject matter and nice composition - wish the eyes were open. |

Looks like soft technique, but overexposed on the face. Try lowering the exposure and increasing softness on the facial part. |

Overexposed IMHO. Also, cropped too tight on the right... |

I'm not sure if you were trying for a high-key shot or else just a lack of contrast. There is a distinct lack of black in the image and I think that may have helped rescue it from an overall washed-out look. It also looks a little soft. If this wasnt a candid shot then using a light-colored shirt probably would have worked better. His facial expression is quite cute and that helps convey a sense of personality in the image. |

oh wow, look at that curly hair. You probably keep that short. hehe.. he is a cutie..Seems to lack contrast here..to bright that it loses detail. |
