What surprises me less than all the syrup shots in the challenge is that I never once thought of it.
It's fairly appetizing-looking, which is a plus. The pitcher-pour looks natural. With as much plate surrounding the pancakes as you have I think I might have liked to see patterned dishware instead. Maybe a bit on the bright side. |

| The pancakes and syrup are well exposed showing good color and detail, but I find the photo boring and lacking in interest, probably cause it's too simple and think there should be some garnish, such as strawberries, orange slices or maybe a more interesting plate to spruce it up. |

| Flash has wiped out any depth to this image - and left you with some ugly shadows too. Looks rushed. |
