Just found this in the `brown ribbon` thread.. Just a quick question really, I see you are in California - do you just have these things walking around? or was it placed here..

It looks fricking huge!!

Weird view that makes the spider semm unnatural. More contrast could help.

From the title, I suspect that this spider's destination was "the other side." It may seem a petty thing, but it looks like the spider is walking down the road instead of across it. The only hint you've included is the line marker in the middle, and the spider is walking parallel to it. I like the position of the spider in the frame. Tones seem just a tad light and not very deep, so playing with contrast might be worthwhile. If your macro works, it might be fun to get as close as possible to the spider for some alternative choices. Overall, an interesting, engaging image!

Eww...This gives me the creeps. Great interpretation. A bit overexposed but nice placement.

Good concept, the colors seem a bit washed out and could be enhanced.

The focus seems to be very soft. The colours are very subdued, and even the yellow seems to be grey. A boost of saturation may make a small difference.

Seems a bit overexposed and it could be sharper.

I'm trying to figure out what the foreground object is, but I'm not sure, and that is one BIG, UGLY spider (shivers) :)

If you like spiders, this is a good picture. I would have cropped out the reflector in the pavement.

I'm guessing the "destination" is the other side of the road? The lighting is a bit harsh and the reflector takes away from the image more than it adds (too blurry). Granted it adds interest to the image, otherwise you just have a picture of a spider on a road. I think this could be better with different cropping and/or composition to show more of the road in front of the spider. Maybe a lower viewpoint more on the level of the spider.
