Mt. Hood near Portland Oregon from 20,000 Feet. Thinking about the magnitude of mountains and how in life we are always seeking to go higher.

Greetings from the Critique Club

YOu have a good image and a good score. Congratulations.

Technically, I think your other commentors have made some good suggestions and I expect you will follow through with them to see if they are helpful.

I have a couple of compositional suggestions. Your mountain peaks lean towards the right side of the frame. Actually, if you check I think you will find that all of the interest in this image is on the right side of the frame. So, I suggest trying to compose your image a bit more to the left to keep the viewer in the picture for a longer period of time. Then, there is quite a lot of sky in this composition. I think it could be exceptionally effective if you lost about 1/3 of the sky that is showing. This would help focus the viewer on the center of interest, first the foreground peak, and then the follow-through background peak.

I wish you continued success in your DPChallenge experience.

Thanks for all the great comments, I am really excited because this photo helped me meet one of my goals for this year...to finally get a 6 on a photo.

I think this is one of the best pictures that I've seen taken from what I assume to be an airplane window. Nice placement of the peak in the picture. I am interested to find out where this was taken. Would it be the Cascade Mountain range in the USA?

Great image..
i think you should have lowered levels and add contrast.. it looks like it all in a fog and the sky arent so blue..
polorizer filter would make it a 10 picture

Good time to be on a plane (I assume that's where this is taken from). I love mountains. This is great.

Ooooh, very very nice. I must watch too many movies as my initial reaction was Lord of the Rings when they were lighting signal fires from mountain to mountain. :-)

Very cool vantage point and scene! I wish it hadn't been so centered, though... I would have cropped some of the sky out, personally.

wow great landscape
nice to see another one in the background
imo more contrast (try with unsharp mask) and and a little desat of blue would give a more dramatic perspective
but ok the challenge is destination and you did well ;)
