Shot by placing my camera on a rock to shoot a long exposure during the sunset. It was actually still quite light out, so I used a gradiated ND filter to lower the exposure on the sky. Shot at f/22 to slow down the shutter speed (8 secs) to get that silky feel to the water. It was actually a very calm day on the lake, but it's never this still.
Processed from the RAW file, with slight exposure increase, to PS in 16-bit. Corrected for slight rotation of image.
In PS, eliminated a few dust bunnies with healing tool, increased shadow details, slight levels, saturation using a velvia action. Crop, resize, add border to help balance out the top a little, then save and submit.
After doing all this, I go to the submit page and read the details of the challenge topic. Opps! Well this is probably where I'll end up, most Sundays for many years. Just hope few readers actually read the topic description. Good luck to me. |

| Beautiful shot. I love the colors. Very soft and flowing. I am normally turned off by borders but I think here it really adds some depth and show nice here. I hope you do well in this challenge. Good luck. |
