If you divide this picture into thirds (left to right) - most of the intersections are nothing but sky.
However - beautiful action shot! :-) |

7 - Nice shot. Criticism; would like to see it sharper and 'pop out' more, especially colors. Technically, while no 'expert' in the rule(s), seems like pretty well spot on to me with the entire bird being the "point of interest". Nice and simple shot, just like to see it a little more 'vivid'. |

if it were only more vivid in color...like provia film...man this shot would really pop...try bringing up the saturation and contrast. |

I am pretty sure I have this same picture or about the same picture. Isnt it hard getting a great picture of this bird even when it seems like it is staying put. Good luck in the challenge |

Good get! Strong, uncluttered photo. As for rule of thirds, the subject may be a bit too far center. Head of bird is not quite sharp. |
