I love the composition of this shot. I wish it was cleaner though. The graininess/OOF is a distraction but is not enough to make it untenable. I can see that the power of communication will overcome the need for Imperialistic impression. Of course, this may be the last thing I am allowed to say, so I guess I better make it count! And in that case...

This meets the challenge quite well. However I do see some sharpening artifacts or haloing along the edges of the subject. Did you add grain to this picture to compensate for the "jaggies" from USM? Or is it a very tight crop, which reveals the grain and haloing maybe?

I feel you've croped too close, it would be a better photo if all of the neck and reflection were in the frame.

Your photo seems a little grainy on my screen, but I like the blue of the water and the white of the duck.

Grainy, poor image quality, not fond of the square crop, it does not enhance this photo.

Great contrast of the yellow beak with the blue water. Nice waves. Lovely unclutted image.

The head seems a little too cropped off and for being this close the eyes should not be this dead.

A little noisy especially the blue.

I have two problems, the grain doesn't seem to serve a purpose so I would neat image or noise ninja etc. and the other, it appears as though we have a floating head, I just think that the crop is way to tight.
