This is definately noisy. I think it fits in with the challenge very nicely.
I do think though that something is missing. something to grab my attention and hold it here. I'm not really seeing anything that is too exciting.
The angle and framing/cropping appear to be ok. You captured it so it looks noisy, and I think that had you not taken this from a little 'from above' angle, i don't think it would have worked as well to portray sound.
The overall blurriness is not working for me. I realize that you did it to give the impressin that the water was moving, and it did that well, but I do wish SOMETHING were in focus. Even if it were just the 'sea foam' stuff that were in focus. Anything really. Something to draw our attention to.
I find the little angled streaks near the bottom left to be a bit distracting. They are brighter than the background they are on, and stand out a lot. They look like little stray drops of moving water.
Anyway, good shot for sound.

| totally meets the challenge but there just isn't really a great point of interest in the shot and the water itself just isn't holding my attention well enough. |

| Heh, I almost went out to take a photo of a fountain, so I definitely agree falling water is evocative of sound. Something about the photo looks odd -- I suspect in part the lack of colour. Inasmuch as seeing the foam swirl is nice, the clear falling water seems blurry, which is probably related. |

| Perhaps with this waterfall, instead of using a prolonged exposure, you could have captured the exact splash effect with a very quick shutter speed. This makes it just look out of focus to me. |

| 10 for concept, 9 for execution: 9 overall. :-> I hear the photo (which is my major grading criteria for this contest), and it's an appealing image overall. I liked this one a lot better than the other water shots, because it feels 'noisier', somehow. |
