Interesting Picture. Love the 2 bubble theme. She doesn't look very comfortable and that is a bit distracting. I think I would have cropped to her waist to pull out her expression differently. |

Interesting composition,,, several items that don't help the picture though are the: angle, she's looking out of the picture & the brown water |

I think this would have been better had she been sitting down fully in the tub, facing the opposite direction and leaning back in a relaxed position. As it is now it just seems as if she is holding herself up too much |

I think the voters won't get this - but if that were a famous person this could be in a Maxim or a GQ or other high end mag. I really like it. The one thing I would change is more bubbles in the water to cover that grey water - but the grey water is part of what makes it look like a fashion photo to me.
So if you meant to copy one of those overpaid highly sought after photographers, you did it! If not, go look at those magazines next time you're at the store! You did it!
Disclaimer: I don't subscribe or even really like those magazines, I simply look at them as a way to learn what photographers are doing in a wide range of styles. :-) |

I do not like the composition. I doubt she would take a bubble bath in a bikini. Maybe if she were sitting in a tub full of bubbles and looked happy or relaxed. If she likes bubble gum fine, leave it in, but in this context it just seems that you were trying for more bubbles. |

I can honestly say I don't think I have ever seen a woman chewing gum in a bath tub - creative. :) |

That's a cute idea. It makes me ask questions, though: Why is the water dirty looking? Why is she wearing a bikini in the bath tub? Why is she sitting in the end of tub where the faucet pokes her? Isn't that pose uncomfortable? Whether this is you, or a model, I'd try to get her in front of the camera as often as possible. I wish I had such a photogenic person to pose for me. |

Too much like a snapshot, plus who gets in the tub in a swim suit, chewing bubble gum? |

Now, I can understand that the model doesn't want to be nude in the photo but wearing a bikini in the bath is a bit, what shall we call it, strange, don't ya think?
As it is her position in the bath is very very bizarre and I think it would have looked much better to have her body submerged in the water.
Another thing, what is she looking at?? Why isn't she instead looking at the camera or frankly just anything else than what is to her left.
It's also quite irritating to not have the entire right hand in the frame and you leave a bit too much space above her head.
Now, if the point here was to create a strange looking picture, with the bubble-gum and the woman's uncomfortable position, I'd say you've failed in your quest. As it is the picture isn't strange enough to serve that purpose. Perhaps with a bit more exotic lightning or framing or Photoshop-work or just a bit more creative hairdo it would have worked to that purpose but not as it.
Sorry if I'm a bit harsh but I feel the original idea, a bubble-gum in a bubble-bath was quite neat but you've flunked on implementation. Better luck next time, I guess. :) |
