This is definately sound in my book. love the look of the older guy in the front.
I really like the angle and framing/cropping you used for this. I think that the arch being the way it is at the top is very visually appealing.
The slight bit of motion blurr is nice, but kind of makes it hard to see the peoples faces. We can still see them though, just not with total clearness. The rest of the focus is just find. i like the detail in the rails of the coaster.
I think that the angled part in the bottom right adds just enough to balance the shot, but not make it cluttered.
Had you brought out the colors more, as one person suggested, I think that the yellows might have ended up too bright, as they are on the border of bright as it is.
I love the yellow against that blue sky.
Overall, I think this is a very nice image, that represents the challenge well. Good one.

5.7 is nice! Given the challenge of getting this photo, that's great. |

Wow. A well timed and framed shot. How many did it take you and did you use burst mode? |

Interesting shot here - the crop on the bottom and left leaves us looking for more of the ride - my eyes are wandering off the page since I can't see what they are about to hit. |

Hee, hee! Fun! There is sound all over the place in this picture. I like the composition with the curve coming over the top - sound surround us and the action that provokes the screams is obvious. The stucture at the bottom might be distracting, but I feel it provides balance and makes the viewer wonder what curves and loops these poor screamers are going into next. Wish it could have been sharp or more blurred with motion, but I'm just being
a little picky now. 8 |

A tighter shot of the screamers would have been more powerful. |

Wow. Roller coasters scare the heck out of me, so I definitely can hear the screams. And the yellow against the nice, clear sky is a great contrast. Good composition; I almost feel I can see the coaster moving. |

10 for concept, 7 for execution: 8 overall. :-> A little more drama in the colors/lighting might well have pumped it a bit higher, but still, very good. I hear the photo (which is my major grading criteria for this contest), and it's an appealing image overall. It has something of the feel of a snapshot (not sure why). |
