"Need to get to that drink"

Thank you for your votes. I am very pleased to be in 11th place ( now 8th place), particularly since I generally favor natural light and minor set-ups. It is very hard to compete against "Studio" shots, with controlled lighting, controlled color, angles etc., but I find it very rewarding. Again, thanks.

Interesting pictue. Love the limes in this but the colors all seem to blend together in the background. Nice texture.

My favourite for this challenge. Great lighting, simple but effective composition and a nice story told by the picture. Oh, and I feel like I could reach out and pick up that drink, looks very appealing right now. The only niggle is the slightly bendy horizon, those damned zooms will get you...

I think you've nailed it! Outstanding photo!!! I better you'd rather be there than working! I really like the way the sand pebbles reflect the light.

The highlights of the sun in the water are a bit harsh for me, but I like the glass setup itself and I think having the person in the water adds interest to the photo. Like the glass is waiting for him when he (or she) returns.

Nice shot, that drink looks very tempting and refreshing and I love the setting, very fitting to have a beach and a sunset and the person adds some interest to the shot. However, I have to put a question mark about the composition, especially since the "rule of thirds" challenge was just around the corner and I personally would have liked this shot heaps more if the glass was in the lower left corner and the rest of the shot identical. 7 from me.

REally nice. Good texture, nice lighting. I really would have liked the glass to have been lower in the shot. The shoreline cuts right across the centre and the lime is so close as well, that it sort of creates a static centre point, IMHO. Technically, a really nice shot.
