Well, not actually the last turn.

This is a chap by the name of Dave Roberts, competing in a masters Duathon (3.5k run, 20k bike, 3.5k run) in Prebbleton, New Zealand.

I was covering the event for the paper, and thought I'd enter it as I've not entered in a challenge for a wee while.

As a total asside, this chap is my fathers boss where he works.. "it's a small world after all, it's a smal....

Editing was a slight crop, curves, USM, scale, sharpen. All in the gimp.

I'm sure the 'clean and clear' folks wont like this, and it dosn't actually look that wide, but it's as wide as I can go with my current kit, and I like it as images go.

We'll wait and see how it does. :-).

There were lot of these guys on bikes to catch one in focus while panning :) I have one more reason to try out a panning. Good shot...8

The background is a bit busy and the rider could have been slightly sharper. Good attempt at panning though, something I'm really bad at. A little more room over the head and less under the bike would perhaps make it a better composition. Nice sense of motion.
