Good color, esp. for being in the shadows. It's a bit grainy. It's not a glamour shot (IMO) (see title). Background is plain, adds nothing to the pic. 6 Rob the Swash |

First things first, a modeling photo needs to have a much more striking background than this. Even if it was just a big blur, that would be better. Secondly, the way he is leaning over broodingly, he looks more like a musician than a Cosmo model. Cosmo models have big smiles, perfect lighting, and flawless makeup. Clothes too. Musicians can get away with casual, models can not. Just a few thoughts. |

You should have commanded him to "work it" a little more. Poor guy looks beleagured, as if someone were pestering him with a camera for a long time... |

The focus on the model seems soft here. It looks quite grainy. The lighting on the subject doesn't seem very bright. It's a bit dark. I wonder if this is what is effecting the quality here. Better to have your subject in a bit more light. This would help a lot with the clarity. The background isn't the best, but it's not terrible either. I like how he's not looking at the camera. I don't think however that this would be on the cover of the magazine. The quality is a bit low, and I think that the garbage can in the background is a bit 'not right'. It's right near his head and a bit destracting. Hope this helps. ~Heather~ |

I don't find the pose especially believable, but my bigger concern with this photo is that you've let the background take over. Even though your subject fills most of the frame, the background's not significantly more blurred - and weeds, a plastic trash can, the edge of a picnic table, the building's roof slanting down into the picture - it's all very distracting/cluttery. A different place and background might have strengthened this image a lot (either blurring the background out, finding something restful, or using a background of more intrinsic interest/excitement so that it was part of, rather than an intrusion on, the feel of the image). |

Nice looking guy, but I don't think this would be the cover. Also a better setting would help out... sorry.. 6. |

Very dark which could be to create a mood but it dosen't. The model dosen't look like a model and the setting is dull, sorry.1 |

Sorry to sound rude... but I'm hoping you're submitting this tongue in cheek...? The lighting on the model of the month is a bit weak, and it seems a bit on the cluttered side with the garbage can, etc., in the background... |

The subject is too dark and doesn't seem to fit with your magazine...Cosmo? As in Cosmopolitan? It doesn't look like a cover shot that I would see on any magazine, but certainly not Cosmo. Sorry. Just my opinion. |

The image quality doesnt appear to be that good, quite possible because of the resolution of your camera - there is some fuzziness to the image. It looks like you may have taken the shot under a tree or some cover and I think that caused the darker image which in made it more difficult for your camera to focus well. The roof of the building in the background is a little distracting and would probably be better had there been more of it or cropped out completely. The pose he is in suggests reflection and some broodiness, and I think given better lightning this could have been a dramatic shot. |

bad lighting, grass is over exposed and object is too much under shadows. = 2 |
