Kita,
You are a very lucky girl! You have a wonderful talent. That's something very special. With "Looking through the Clouds," you've done a really good job of capturing the sun's rays coming down from behind the clouds--and the foreground of you rimage adds a lot of interest. Beautiful work!

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Beautiful image! The color and contrast are very nice and the lighting is just wow! Technically I think there is little to change regarding your editing on this image. If I wanted to nit pick a bit, the right side of the image, the ground, is shade darker than the left and it ind of draws my eye there. Perhaps you could say the left is too bright - either way, more balanced lighting would draw my eye more into the center.

Composition-wise, very centered. What it is you want me to look at? The sky, the ground, the bridge (is that a bridge in the center?)? Be centering the horizon you have given equal value and importance to the sky and ground. Both are interesting in their own rights, but you are not telling me which you want me to focus on. The bridge being very centered must be the most important thing, or else you would have composed it differently. But it seems to distant to show any detail, so i get lost as to what to look at, what you want the focus of the image to be.

The clouds are fantastic and the light rays coming down are great, and the titel tells me the clouds are what i should be giving my attention to ... the overall composition kind of fights that idea a bit.

Ahh, the challenges of DPC. You know it would be a better pic without the telephone pole and wires, but removing it might be a rule violation so you left it in.

Perhaps if you have moved in closer to the bridge, put it in the lower left corner of the viewfinder (to crop out the wires and pole) and position it via rule of thirds ... Ahh, monday morning quarterbacking is so much fun!

I do love the feeling i get from this pic, the mood if you will. Nice.

I love the sun streaming through the clouds, but the foreground is just too... strange... for me to rank this as a 10.

Something is missing here... the setup is great, you have great colors, wide angle for the challenge is here, but there is a subject missing in this photo (in my opinion) and that's why I can't score it too high. 6.

My top pick. If this isn't a ribbon, it better be in the top 10! I love the colors, the light coming in throught the clouds, and play of light and dark. Definitely a favorite. Great job!

Nice wide angle. Too bad about the man made telephone pole! I do like the way you caught the sunlight shining through the clouds.

While the sunrays are nice in thisshot and the dried ground is a cool foreground, I think like the other view of this scene within this challenge (titled The Storm) a littl better. I think the other shot does a bit better job of showing the big sky view of the area. JMO.

Nice work on this photo. I really like the definition in the clouds, and the sunlight pouring through, especially where the ground has been lightened by it. Nice work here. The telephone line is distracting. The center composition is not my favorite, but it does work for this one.

neat photo... nice job catching the sun's rays. Some great stuff in this photo. Unfortunately I think the phone line kind of detracts from the image... but that's my personal idea... I wonder what this would have looked like as a wide angle vertical image, the ground offers to much visually.
