Why do I ever get stuck with last minute entries. I hope this one does well above the 5.5 score considering the amount of entries we have for this challenge.

Thanks to my friend Zia for modelling for me again. You've probably seen here before in the Conspiracy Challenge :) The reflection is actually a vacant desk with a gorgeous window view. The background is an oil painting which makes for a wonderful bokeh.

I wish I could have cloned out some specks from her mascara and smoothed out the slight wrinkles under her eye.

Post processing includes adjustment of exposure and white balance in RAW Shooter's Essential. USM in photoshop. Since I made the mistake of using ISO 400, I had to use Neat Image (finally bought a copy). Then again. And again. Four times I used NI for this image. I'm addicted to this program. USM again. Stroke 18 pixels and save for web.

I hope this image does well.

Great use of negative space and use of the reflective space of the surface of the eye. :-) You were obviously well rewarded for a strong entry and effort (and deservedly so). Great shot!

Nice finish rikki! I'm surprised to see your comments re: neat image. I've never had a noise problem at ISO 400 with my 20D...

magnificent image. The focus is great. The green eye and rich red background serve as wonderful complimentary colors in this photo.

Wow great lighting and very sharp detail, the reflection is a little week. The nose is a huge distraction and it really unbalances the photo.

Interesting perspective. Hard to make out what the reflection is but nice concept. I like the frame you used, pulls the strong colors together nicely.

I like the blurred background that compliments the eye. The nose is a bit of a distraction but I like how the image of her eye came out. To bad you can't heal the wrinkles since this is only a basic challenge but it doesn't bother me at all. I like the crispness of this shot!

Beautiful eyes! Incredibly striking gaze. I love the title and seems it fits extremely well with the reflections in her eyes. Too bad for the red spots in her eyes but still a beautiful model you chose. 10

Pity the eye is a bit red on the inside, but otherwise, super clear shot. Nice.

You know, a friend of mine suggested that I do exactly this for this challenge, and I didn't, but even if I did, I wouldn't have made an excellent shot like this.. Very nicely done, 10

Different angle needed to get rid of nose. But eye is nice and sharp.

I thought about doing a shot similar to this but then I backed off thinking it would be impossible to get any recognizable reflection. AWSOME! Easily one of my favorites.
