....and we certainly would not want that; now, would we? Sheesh! It seems like someone using a camera for anything rather than literal representation is thought to be a witch on this site. This is a terrific example of creative photography on a thinking level, Eleanor. Your fresh insights and the growth I have seen you display over the past year, have been very rewarding. I know you won't be dissuaded as a result of not conforming to the "rules" on this site. (One of which is that in order for the shot to be successful, there should be something liquid caught splashing upward in the frame.) |

For me, this image has been grained to the point that it has become a digital art image rather than a photo. |

A very interesting effect but one that has left the photographic realm and entered the graphical. A very effective floral arrangment with lovely subdued colors. |

You certainly got the effect of sand here, but IMHO this has crossed the line and become digital art, not photography. |

Very nice use of a sand filter. Looks almost like a fabric. |

This looks like a sand art painting. I like it as art, but to me it is not a picture with grain being part of the story. |

Wow, looks like sand art. Love the colors and use of space here. The grain really adds to this well. |

Not something that works for me asthetically. It's very, very overly processed. But, it does hit the challenge square on the head. The image is enhanced by the grain. 7 |

Looks more like sandpaper painting. I think less noise/grain would help. |

Wow, what a really neat art effect! This image is really striking and I like it :-) The colors are good and I think it's a good example of what extreme grain can do to completely change a photo. Very nice pointillism effect. |
