another 4 in the making! I actually had a lot of fun with this one. I have some ideas I couldn't follow through on this weekend but look for them in upcoming challenges where they too will fail miserably from "TOO MUCH NOISE" that doesn't enhance the image. :)

I used colored pencil to 'stretch out the grain' trying to make it look less like noise and more like actual grain.

BTW - this poem immediately brought me to "Sunday Morning" by Wallace Stevens. Hence the title, even if it was taken on Saturday. :)

more contrast would make this stronger

What a cool photo! I love the urban feel to this. I think it would look great without the selective desat too -- maybe even better -- but I still love it in every way! 10

Nice shot but I feel the pink detracts rather than adds to the mood.

The selective desat on this draws the eye nicely! Good perspective and angle.

I am a fan of selective desat, but I know there are others on this site who are not. However, I'm not sure the subject causes a lot of feeling in me. The grain is there, but minimal. I think it is attempting to add a texture to feel like a misty rain. It succeeds, but only just. 5

Good picture, not sure about the merits of the desat.
