Great shot Alan. I didn't vote this challenge and only briefly glanced at the photos before the challenge was over. This image, though, was one that jumped out at me. Nicely done. |

Alan,
Nicely done. Nice idea ... I think you should have scored higher on this one. Remember to clean the inside of you camera before you next long exposure shot ;o)

this is a nice image. the more i look the more i like it. i think the only thing detracting is the grain, which makes it seem like it's soft on the focus. also, that red light kind of draws the eye, but there's not much you can do about that (maybe clone it out in software). well framed and captured tho. 7. |

very beautiful picture and sets the mood of a quiet evening. I like the serenity captured in this image. Too bad I cant vote, or this will definately get a 9 from me. watch out for the pink specson the lower part of the photo though. great work |

Interpreting this as Black-on-Black is pushing it a bit, but it's a lovely shot. [5] - for the brief mis-match, [8] for a general shot! |

The low light here really enhances the mood. The still water and gentle lines really help too. Nice work. |

Very, very nice.A real sense of calm and quiet. It would be even better with the lights gone. Not your fault...10 |

This picture tells how the scene feels like. It manages to communicate a kind of emotion. Tthe composition of all the elements, the red light and its reflection, the haze, the blue tones, the empty (dock?) in front......
Like it a lot. |

Love the blue tint of the photograph...what part of the Ohio river? I grew up on the Ohio, small town called Proctorville...right across from Huntington, WV...
Lovely photo, great job!

I think this is a very good example of low-key. I like this picture. One of my favourites. |

This is certainly low-key, but I just don't know about "Black on Black" - however, it is a very cool shot. I don't see how the composition could be any better, and I love the bit of light reflection in the foreground. Has a very mysterious feel to it. Scoring it as if it meets the challenge, cause frankly, I don't really care if it doesn't! It's nice! |
