Wow what a bright image! I think this is a prefect fit for the challenge and nice to see something different from the bunch. Excellent idea using oranges, other fruit would not have been nearly as bright or colorful. I think the composition of this shot is the best part. The only thing I would have played with a little is the placement of the oranges, not quite so centered for the two, maybe off more the the left or right. I am really glad you left the seeds in they add another element to the photo. The glow from the bottom orange is a nice complement to the the seeds and outside of the orange that are darker in the shot. |

beautiful use of light. I like the soft focus here - it makes it all the more glowy. mmm... glowy. |

I rather like the tight framing here. |

Overall, a nice photo. The focus s good and the composition is pleasing. I think that you could have gotten away with a slightly brighter lighting setup ... I think it might have really brought out the veining in the fruit and made the colours just a bit brighter. JMO. |

My very first challenge entry was a grapefruit lit with a penlight. You seem to have discovered what I did at the time. It's difficult to get a sharp image when you light through the fruit because there is thickness to the fruit. This is a nice attempt, but it falls short of the previous entries which did the same thing. 6 |

Nature's gold is actually a metallic stuff that people regard as valuable ;-) |
