Good grief this angle makes my nose look big and crooked. Oh, hold on, it is big and crooked :-/

Unfortunate that you can see the reflection of the white card I was using to bounce light back in, but all attempts to retake the shot failed miserably.

Lit by a 500w halogen bounced off the ceiling and some white card held in front of my face. Shot in macro mode so not as cropped as you would probably imagine. Greyscaled using the channel mixer, curves layer, resize & USM.

Interesting angle, but the pose cries out for some backlight. Just enough to define the edge of the face from the background, and add some sparkle to the eylashes...

Cool, but a bit too dark - could do with more contrast, IMHO.

I love the composition, would have looked for it to be a bit sharper.

I like the composition, but don't feel there was enough light on your face.

I love the composition of this - it's one of my favourites in that respect. I'd like just a touch more light.

WOW!

I don't find this to be an abstract at all. I think that your eye is more interesting than your nose here, yet it's in darkenss and the uninteresting nose is more illuminated.

A great twist on the overused eye shot.... your portrait is fresh and original. I wish there were more light on you, but it's just a personal thing! Good job.

I like this a lot. Good abstract. A little more light on the eye would be better though.
