My kids looked at me with extreme disgust, while I smoked that Cigar and my wife was trying to get a good shot.. She took at least 30 shots or so, before I decided I cannot smoke that thing anymore. This was the best I was able to come up with.

This is an outstanding b/w study with that pleasant graphical feel. Bumping up.

Excellent lighting, positioning and perspective. Very effective shot. One of my favorites.

Great focus and love the off centered image. The border is a bit large for such an unimpossing image. IMO it would have worked better to stand alone without any border. Great title....and the image. Nice work

Great composition and B&W. PhotoShop effect is though, too much much for me. For my taste, cleaner smoke and not that oversharpened face would do better. Maybe a darker background would highligt the smoke better.

I love the concept in this. Can almost imagine the smoke forming sort of a skull-like image - wished it did. I know you can't control that. My only gripe is the funny texture on his lips which does nothing to enhance the photo.

You could say the same for life...

Yep - to live is to die. I find the processing enormously overdone here. Composition is fine, in a kind of stock manner, and the smoke is well brought out.

Choice, I like the result here. Maybe I would have turned him just slightly more away so that the far cheek doesn't come into the frame. It looks a little out of place somehow, but still one of the best shots here!

Good idea. Geat lightitng. Too much "open" space. By ALL means, always try to avoid "up-the-nose" shots.
