This shot was taken in my garage. I used a hologen light to create the shadows. I needed the light another 5 or 6 feet further away to get the shadows with less distortion, but I couldn't get the lamp that far away, too short of a cord and NO grounded extension cord, bummer. The elves were from a metal garden cut out and the extra stuff was a potted tansey.
I was trying to give the effect of a moonlit dance. After much thought, I wish I had included a small, round mirror (to emulate the moon) and glitter for a little sparkle, but hindsight and all. Thanks for the comments.

I wish the shadows were more vivid...they seem blurry.

The title definitely helps me to see that in the shadows. I couldn't help but wondering what I would have seen if you hadn't titled it that?

Ooh! I love the patterns and textures. Without the title I may not have been able to see the elves.

Wow, this is really cool! The distortion of the shadows gives the elves so much life and lightness. I'm not sure how you created this, but nice work :)

Very very nice image. I love the feeling of movement.....I can almost hear the music! Also like the angle of the photo -- great work!

Too fuzzy. It hurts my eyes.

Needs more definition. The figures are too fuzzy. If they were closer to the light they might have cast a sharper shadow. I would really like to see this one!!

Good feeling of both shadow and motion.

A little like abstract art. I like it.

Very cute, love the illusion of motion. A tighter crop (640x427) would have made this even better.

Fun picture.

Interesting shadows that strongly tie-in with the challenge. It would be better me thinks, if there were more definition in the shadows.

I'm not sure I would've recognized this w/out the title. A more even/smooth background might have helped, too.

This is cool, what kind of surface did you do this on?
