Thanks to my patient megababe gf Pam for being so patient through my 50 takes as I tried to get my theme nailed down. I wanted to bury her under law books, which is how it started, but we ended up moving it around because the books were falling off.

Cropped, greyscale, that's it. Do enough outtakes, fix the problems. That's my new theory. lol

Prediction: 5.3 and top 100 finish.

Nice take on the challenge with a touch of humor added. Your dof seems to work well here, the focus although not perfect is still good. There appears to be a bit of a texture to the photo as the pages of the book appear to have slight movement in them.

Only thing I see that could possibly improve on it is just a little more lighting on the right side to balance it out more. The right hand get lost in shadows as does the eye.

In all it really is a cool prespective of this challenge. Nicely done. Also nice guess on your finishing score.

I think this would have done better if I wasn't cross-eyed in it! Still, fun to do, but not as fun as actually being buried under books!

Well you wanted top 100, and you got it. I am actually suprised it didn't do better. Even if its a set up, its still a good photo.

I never know what's going to come from you next. But in this shot, you've achieve such great clarity. I'm surprised it didn't do better. Nice shot!

Hopefully this is not a standard study mode when there's a camera not involved. The setup is great and very good for a laugh, though. Nice control of focus - I like the fact that her face is crisp and clear, but I can still read the text on all the books.

That happens to me, too! Nice idea and well executed!

now why would she do this?...very unusual.....are her eyes in focus?

The lighting here is nice - a little too staged for me, but the qualities to this are nice - well composed, good exposure.

This is a nice humourous shot. More contrast would be nice and the cropping of your model's hands at the bottom of your composition is a little disctracting.

This may have worked for BoB as well - creative shot, good use of B/W, and easy to see the work involved.

nice composition.. a little too much black space on the right and the ligting could have been moved to avoid the hard shadow on the nose.
Really looks like burried!

As a set up, almost humorous image I like it. It doesn't seem too real though, as if someone were actually working with their books stacked this way. I do like it though.

Not bad... a bit too contrived - she can't be reading the book so it looks way too staged for my liking.

hi frisca! nice self portrait :) I think this works very well in black and white, and the lighting is great. I think you cropped a bit too much though.
