They need water, I think

I'd prefer to see more DOF to have the shadows in focus as well.

That is so different! Really Nice!

I like your idea for selective focus...but i think maybe with a little more depth of field...maybe the whole first bottle or two, i'd like it better

This is a beautifully done photo... I really like the color and the composition quite a bit... i definitely think that some extra depth of field would be a nice improvement though... great shot! - 9 - jmsetzler

I"m thinking what with this picture needs is more focus, and less negative space on the left.

Interesting subjects, but I would have liked seeing more of them. The first two are O.K., but the other three are too far away and cropped off. Now, let' tackle the challenge....Your subject, clearly, is the blue flower in the vase, the shadows feel accidental or incidental. This challenge didn't have to be exclusively shadows, but in my opinion, should be a major element or objective. Photo 9 Creativity 5 Shadows 6 total 7

Very pretty, nice depth of field. Very colourful. The composition is strong and interesting.

I think there needs to be a little bit more in focus and longer shadows.

I like the colors and how the shadows of every bottle points to a different direction. I think the picture would be more interesting if the bottles would have been positioned more to the left though.

Personally I would have liked more DOF, or a focus on the shadows.

Those flowers are nice and I like the idea of colorful shadows a lot. I don't know what camera you used, so my suggestion may or may not be possible. Try and increase the DOF, it would be nice to see at least the first flower & bottle, but preferably even more in focus. Also, have you considered moving the bottles further to the left in the shot to give more of the center stage to the shadows (which are the subject of this challenge after all)? This would also eliminate the empty space to the left.

Lovely colors, and the focus is quite nice.

This is very pretty and colorful! Maybe would have given a higher score if the other flowers were in better focus! Overall, NICE!

Nice use of color, but should have a much larger DOF to carry it's message with authority.
06/17/2002 02:33:00 PM
I really liked it.
06/17/2002 01:08:00 PM
Love the use of colour but not enough DOF
06/17/2002 11:16:00 AM
nice image. it's a little dark on the right side and out of focus. i might also try continuing the line off the frame...from this vantage point it seems like they should just keep going on and on to me.

I love the concept of this. I wish the front bottle was in focus and it gradually went to out of focus as it got to the last bottle. A little more DOF would be the only thing:)
