 This is a mailbox along a road not far from my house.

I did a partial grunge action, but stopped after the colors were enriched, and then did some burn and fill with several brushes, on the mailbox.

And you've got a comment. Thanks Judy for making DPC a better place.

I like your idea, an email and this box to somehow not fit together, as the "you've got mail" somehow, in my mind at least, has to do with email.
The colours are truly beautiful, but on my screen the middle is a bit dark, but I suspect that is my old screen and not the photo.

I have to get so much better at that grunge thing.

I looked at this during voting and said "beautiful country mailbox" - I didn't notice until now that there *is* mail in the box! This is (yet another) that was hit by extremely tough voting - stinking voters. I like it, screw the voters! ":)

Interesting old weatherd mailbox.....the fact that the door is open adds visual interest and a suggestion to reach in and see whats inside. The super blue sky is stunning. The title makes me smile just thinking about the early days of having AOL and hearing that when I first logged on. Good job.

There is so much going on in the background that it's hard to see the mailbox which is really very interesting. I'd have cropped off the trees at the top and tried to lighten the background a tad. The whole picture looks a little dark to me.

This photo has such a cool feel to it. It's so sharp, and the colors are so vibrant. I love old mailboxes. Good luck.
