 Taken during a visit to the Hot Ponds (a partly man-made body of water, connected to the ocean, but heated by volcanic activity). There wasn't that much light, so it came out a bit grainy. But then, this beautiful rainbow just popped up out of nowhere, and this woman was just standing there admiring it. I had my camera with me so I couldn't resist the opportunity.
I did however lose lots of quality when I had to crop it down and resize it, and had to use a lot of neat image, which I normally don't :-(
Anyhooo, regardless of quality, I really liked the dramatic punch it seemed to have. Hope you guys like it!

Very nicely composed. Very rich colors. Grainy in a way that doesn't add anything aethetically in my opinion, but the capture outweighs that for me. 8

Beautiful photo, there is a little bit too much red/magenta tone in it, the shadow at the right distracts a little. Otherwise this is very nice.

Very nice photo and I like the composition. The highlights provide a sharp contrast with the gray sky. I wonder how many photographers ever consider the time spent to get a photo like this. Patience pays off. I hope this ribbons as it qualifies for many 10s 10

I'm not quite sure exactly why I like this so much, but I just do. I've been clicking away this morning, through the whole list of entries, and havent really been inspired, but when I saw yours, I had a very positive reaction to it. It has a drama to it, and a human side too, which appeals.

Very nice shot. My only nitpick is the shadow on the wall beneath the model... VERY SMALL nitpick. Great composition!!!

Great shot, the sky and rainbow are very nice, the way the sea fades to black is great and the model must have enjoyed standing there watching it all. I was going to mention the noise, but if anything, it adds to the shot.

watch the saturation levels in her skin tones. the overall scene if very nice but the color balance is a little warm. I know it was sunset so red is expected but her skin tones almost look overexposed. great shot, it would be hard to pull off perfect...I don't think I could do it at least.

A very interesting compositon. Love the set-up. What a fortunate stroke of luck in capturing the rainbow in the scene with the woman dressed in what appears to be "biblical type" clothing as she gazes out to sea. But it is all part of the composition and the title. After the great flood she gazes out to the receding seas to look upon the Lord's promise.
