 A collection of old wooden spools of thread. These wooden spools are at least 40 years old. I used a hand made rug that was given to me as a background and set the thread on plexiglass which was placed ontop of black foam board. I used two tungsten 100 watt light bulbs.

This is kinda neat, but the background fabric has similar colors, which distracts from the subject spools. I love the metallic look of new thread.

i think the stripes in the back are disracting. I like the colorfulness of the threads. So many pics for this challange not only dont go with the theme but are dreadfully boring in color. nice job.

I think this would have looked better with a solid background. I also think the whole bottom left spool should be included or crop off part of the lower right one.

nice! however, that 3/4 spool of thread kinda bothers me. but i love how you tilted the red thread at the top! good job!

I like the background for this as it has the same colours in it but the picture feels a bit out of balance because of the lack of space next to the last roll on the left. well done though!
