good subject, though i'm not sure the angle works. try from the other side or dead on.

I think the right side of the wall needs to be perfectly verical and maybe exagerate the contrast.

The stairs on the left are a little distracting, maybe if you cropped it to 427x640 you could get rid of them. Still, a good shot of city "decorations."

I like this. Two things I think you might want to look at. First, I think the wall near the left edge needs to be straight up and down. It's the one angle in the shot that bothers me (maybe it's not straight up and down in real life, though.) Second, while I love the shadows made by the posters themselves (particularly near the bottom of the wall), the shadow made by the wall detracts a little bit for me. I wonder about shooting this at a different time of day to minimize the shadow from the roof while still mainaining shadows from the posters. Maybe be impossible to do, but thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

Only in the big cities can you find a shot like this!

Great choice! This looks tilted overly to the left though.

So evocative of the city. I love the angles of the pavement and the stairs. 6 sjgleah

This is an interesting angle shot, but part of me wants to read the signs, no matter. Can't really say I'm thrilled with this shot, but there's nothing really bad/wrong with it. My guess is, it's just not my 'cup o tea'. Photo 8 City 7 total 7

I know that place! That's Post Alley by Pike Place market, isn't it? Well, if it ain't, it should be. Good photo. I wish I'd taken it:))

Great capture of city life. Could use a little more focus on the wall. 8

good light, unusual subject, stairs are distracting

This is a really neat idea. Would it have been possible to get closer so that you didn't have the street in the picture. Also, I was going to suggest maybe taking the picture from the stair side, but that may have cast a shadow.

I may have liked this shot if it was taken straight on rather than at a side angle, but i'm not sure. I see this a lot in my city as well.

Very nice composition, somehow the whole image is greater than the sum of the parts. I like it.

Interesting photo of city life but I just can't find inspiration in it. maybe a little different angle on the wall? = 5 - jmsetzler

I expect that this shot will do well in this challenge.

nice colors and angles here

Very nice. I like the angle. If I have to scrutinize, I would say maybe a little less exposure. But great photo

Fantastic title, and perspective. Not too crisp or sharp would be the only negitive here. Nice work.....good eye!! Kee

I like it, I think maybe though the angle is too much. I'd like to see more of a frontal shot excluding the stairway.

so many papers...

Looks a little compressed--maby if you were a few steps to the left it would have been a better angle.Nice colors and texture though!
