 Shot at an militay airbase in Kuwait. Early morning. Heavy fog rolling in shut down the flights. The combination of the large floodlights and the fog made for some strange glows and lighting. Basics for the open challenge..Lvls,Contrast,Sat,USM, and ran thru neatimage.

Hi Joshua - you got some pretty good comments about the blown out spots and the lunar feel, so I won't spend too much of your time telling you what I like - the focus feels slightly off and despite the insanely bright lights, the flag isn't quite bright enough for my tastes. I think I'd have tried a vertical here - between the lights. You would get more light on the flag, have even more detail in the ground and still keep the lunar feel to it. I like this shot a lot - just not sure about those few things. Also - how much did you Neat Image? Part of the blur may be that.

Great shot and pretty good lights. Maybeee just a bit better if the flag was not so centered. If it was mine (and I know it's not) I'd probably have cropped out all the lights and centered the interest in that beautiful flag image.

Sorry but the two overexposed light sources really do nothing for me but kill the shot, found myself unable to give a higher rating than 4 even though I am 100% sure its in the theme, the shot just doesn´t appeal to me. That and the centered composition of course, was there no other more interesting angle you could have photographed the flag from?

A respectable photograph. I like flood lights as balnce and the flag as subject. It has a lunar fell to it. I also wonder if there was a slight breeze that day.

the lights to my right is too much.. and my subject is too far from me which is the flag.... but the composition is nice and the effort is there

It looks like a lunar landing:) This maybe could be a stronger image with a tighter crop on the flag.

Your photo has a neat science fiction feel to it. I might have cropped it a bit more in from the right to remove that bit of construction. I like the lighting and texture along the rock hill best.

Very creative photo. The lights on the side are almost overwhelming, but not so bad it kills the photo. Nice job!
