This is my first attempt at taking a portrait. Used several candles in front and some in the background. I like the soft glow of the candles. Some cloning, and sharpening of certain areas, levels, contrast, saturation and usm.

I prefer to not only see candles in a candlelight challenge, but I don't care to see human subjects in it. I tend to believe that human models "can" give away anonymity at times, unless only the backs of heads are shown and things along those lines. The lighting is nice, but could be from any low light source. Without the candle, and with the head on model portrait, I voted this way down. Sorry.

This is nice. I like her glasses. Clear eyes. The lustre of the lip gloss is pretty. I think I'd tone down the yellow a bit. Real clear focus though. The DOF is good too. Sorry for the choppy sentences. I'm not very eloquent today. LOL 8
