 tor·rid - adj- Parched with the heat of the sun; intensely hot.

Took a picture of a candle, which was boring, and used hue/saturate to make it red. This was more interesting but still lame, so I decided to use the dreaded filters! I applied the "plastic wrap" filter and ended up getting this image, which I thought was cool. Cropped it, USM, and resize for web. I'm pushing for a brown ribbon with this attempt at fate!

You are probably getting killed by the photograph "purest" who feel this is too much art to be photography but I like it. The candles texture is nicely enhanced and I like the hint of red in it. While the flame's color isn't the norm it still has a nice touch to it. Good luck

The photoshopping effects used onthis image is undesirable for a photography competition. This is more in the realm of digital art.

This is such a interesting shot and quite eerrie, but I still like it. The colors are quite differant and effective.

I would rate this higher if the effect wasn't placed on it. Looks like the "plastic wrap" effect in PS.
