 I knew what I wanted to do immediately. Finding the time was more difficult. Put up a black drop (an old teeshirt), settled in the roll, pasted the dice (with double sided tape) to a sheet of glass, fiddled around with the lights (mostly used a flashlight) and hoped for the best.

Postprocessing: contrast, curves, a bit of cloning, and then some dodging to make the roll dice a tad brighter. Smart sharp.

A good concept that I believe would've scored higher with a WB adjustment.

I like your pun idea, but for me, the roll is too much on the orange side as well as the dice.

The saturation looks pretty extreme here. Have you calibrated your monitor recently?
